I have been a practicing RN (ER, Med-Surg, QI Director, DON, Dementia Care Executive Director, Clinical Research Assistant) for 19 years and taught nursing education for 18 years. I teach in LPN and RN programs and served as Nursing Department Chairperson from 2018 through 2020.
I hold multiple degrees: PhD, RN Diploma, a BSN, and an MSN. To continue life-long learning, I became certified as a Nurse Manager, a CNE and Dementia Care Practitioner.
I am a nursing author; twice published in Journal of Nursing Education, regarding spirituality and faculty scholarship. Thereafter, I wrote and published a CEU course for Sigma Theta Tau outlining spiritual assessment tools. My research delved into end-of-life spirituality and is located at UND’s Library (https://commons.und.edu/theses/883/).
I support the profession by devoting time to ND Board of Nursing Nurse Education Committee, belong to ANA and I am a member of Midwest Nurse Researchers.
