Zehra Güçhan Topcu, PT, PhD, Assist. Prof.
She was born in Nicosia, 1989. She was graduated from the Başkent University, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in 2010. She was qualified with EU scholarship to go to United Kingdom for MSc Physiotherapy in the University of Brighton and completed this degree with a dissertation on Pediatry in 2012. She also had second MSc program on Prosthetics-Orthotics-Biomechanics in the Hacettepe University and graduated from this program in 2013. In 2016, she completed PhD degree in the Hacettepe University with her dissertation upon the effects of different physical activity approaches on biomechanical features of obese children. She had occupational experiences as physiotherapist in various rehabilitation centres both abroad and in Cyprus. She currently presents education of infant massage to parents in the university campus as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor trained by International Association of Infant Massage. She is also one of the two founders of the Cyprus Turkish Physical Activity Association and is currently its vice-president. She has many scientific studies published in domestic and international journals. She has given lectures at EMU Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation since 2014 as a full-time faculty member.
Research interest: Pediatric rehabilitation, physical activity, biomechanical approaches
